Restaurant Style Curry Classes

Beginners Course

This course has been created to allow participants cook a basic curry from scratch. Everything from chopping the first onion to garnishing with coriander will be undertaken by the participant under direct supervision. An introduction to a variety of spices will be included as well as tried and tested cooking techniques. This course has been designed and will be delivered by qualified lecturers who currently work at the local technical college.

You will be given the choice of cooking a restaurant standard curry, consisting of either meat or vegetables of your choice. Perfect pilau rice will also be cooked by each participant as well as demonstrations of cooking chapattis and onion bhajis.

At the end of this course you will be able to comfortably cook a restaurant standard curry in the comfort of your home. There will be enough food for at least a take-away for 2 people which will be carefully packed at the end of the class.

Basic Course

This course will give you hands on cooking experience and unlock the basics of creating restaurant style curries in the comfort of your own home. This course has been carefully created and is ideal starting point for individuals who have very little cooking experience. All the cooking is undertaken by the participants under direct supervision. This hands on approach provides an excellent understanding of key ingredients and a grasp of cooking techniques. On this course you will cook a restaurant style curry, a starter dish, pilau rice and perfect mint raita. You have the option to choose from the menu shown on the right. Everything you cook will be carefully packed at the end of each class and will be enough for a take-away for two people.

Advanced Course

Have you ever wondered why curries cooked at home never taste like the ones ordered from a restaurant? This course will de-mystify the cooking techniques used to produce restaurant standard dishes. You will be taught how to cook a universal curry sauce, which will unlock the doors to most of the dishes available on a restaurant menu, whether it’s a mild creamy Korma or the nation’s favourite Tikka Masala you will recreate these in minutes and will be amazed at the results.

Every participant will be given the opportunity to cook a curry and a starter of their choice from our menu shown right and either fresh chapattis or aromatic Pilau Rice.

Outcome of this Course:-
The ability to cook a variety of restaurant style curries using a universal sauce and bulk cooking methods as used in most restaurants in the country.
